What are the differences between a stove and a fireplace?

The stove is closed and retains heat better; the fireplace is usually open and loses more heat through the flue. For more details, see our full article on the difference between a fireplace and a stove.

There is no single ‘best’ wood-burning stove, but rather the one that best suits your space and needs.
At Panadero, our most popular models in Spain are the Onix 3V, Fenix, Coimbra, Java 3V and Allegro, all of which are highly efficient, carefully designed and Ecodesign certified.
The choice will depend on the size of the room, the power you need and whether you are looking for extras such as an oven or a panoramic view of the fire.

Rule 3:2-10 states that the chimney pipe must protrude 3 feet (≈ 0.90 m) above the roof where it exits, be 2 feet (≈ 0.60 m) higher than anything nearby, and at least 10 feet (≈ 3 m) away from those objects.
Following this rule is essential for proper smoke removal and to avoid draught problems. In many areas, this is part of the installation regulations, so it is advisable to confirm this with a professional installer.
